The Anti Aging Source Guide To Finding The Best Fish Oil Supplement
Here are the 4 necessary criteria that your supplement must have to be effective for heart disease prevention, and all the other great list of omega 3 benefits.
The number one criteria you need in your fish oil supplement, is purity.
There are so many impurities found in fish and by extension there fish oil is various toxic impurities.
You see the oceans have become our giant toilet bowl as humans are concerned. This filters down to the krill that fish eat. Everything from Mercury, Lead, Arsenic, PCBs, Dioxins, and even prescription drugs have been found in fish oil. So for the best fish oil supplement, it is essential that it is as close to 100% pure as possible.
What good would avoiding heart disease be if you got cancer in it's place by taking too much mercury?
Number 2 on our list of criteria for best fish oil supplement:
It needs to be broad spectrum.
There are 2 main fish oils, DHA and EPA that have been pegged as the best for your heart, but there are at least 5 other long chain fatty acids that have been shown to work with those two to assist and make them even more effective at helping your heart!
We in this culture tend to think that one thing or in this case two = healing your heart. But without that support your supplement might not meet all your needs.
Number 3 on the list:
Your fish oil supplement needs to be concentrated.
For your body to use fish oil to it's maximum extent you need for it to be as concentrated as humanly possible.
If there was one main reason to take a fish oil supplement this is it. Eating fish as your main source of Omega 3 gives your body Omega 3 but it has to go through all the muscle and digestion processes to get to where it needs to be used. With a fish oil supplement it goes straight to where it needs to be in your body where you need it the most.
Non-concentrated fish oils have too much extra “stuff” that just get in the way.
Last but not least:
Make sure you are getting enough fatty acids in your fish oil supplement.
Some of the supplements out there just worthless because they don't give you anymore then 500 mg of the essential fatty acids.
Just because the outside label says “1,000 mg of fish oil” doesn't mean it has 1,000 mg of DHA and EPA or anywhere near that. Depending on what source they used, it may be less then 100 mg of those essential substances that you are taking fish oil for in the first place!
You need at least 600 mg of DHA and EPA to have the best fish oil supplement.
