Grandma's Moisturizing Vapour Anti Aging Therapy

My friend's grandmother used to recommend using a mixture of fresh lemon and lime juice, orange juice, milk, and salt in order to retain moisture in her skin and prevent wrinkles.

At least two or three times a week, she took the juice from half a lemon, half a lime, and a whole fresh ripe orange, and diluted it in about a cup of milk.

Then she would put it in a small pot and add a pinch of salt when it was fully mixed. She heated the pot on the stove and stood with her face over it as it heated, letting the warm steam rise right into her face. She did it for about three minutes in the morning.

Then she simply let the vapour and moisture stay on her skin, making sure not to wipe her face. She claimed that the heat of the sun would eventually make it penetrate her skin while she worked in her garden for the rest of the day.

I'm not sure if it actually works, but she did have nice, soft skin at age 86. At the very least, it did make her smell sweet during the summer when I visited!
